Small Changes that Produce Big Results: Helping students to hit the Target LIMITED

Limited Capacity seats available

Have you ever asked yourself questions like: 1) How do you decide what is important for students to know? 2) What do the grades students earn in your class really mean? 3) Are students really learning what they are supposed to? 4) That was a great activity...did it really achieve the target, or was it just fun? If you have, then you are not alone. Over the past two school years we have been attempting to find ways to be able to answer these and other questions about student learning by focusing on using standards and objectives to de-mystify what we actually want students to know and whether or not they learned it. Come and see how we got started, what year two looks like, what improvements have been made since the first baby steps last year and finally how other teachers implemented what was discussed last year.
